wHAT is Hypnosis?

You may be asking yourself – How can hypnosis help me improve my game?

The subconscious is the part of your mind that controls your heartbeat and breathing it also controls your physical movements such as your golf swing.
Hypnosis is used to access the subconscious part of the mind, where all your habits and memories reside. Through the use of hypnotic suggestions the subconscious part of your mind can be programmed to improve your game by removing outside distractions and maximizing concentration. 

   Hypnosis can help you become stronger, have more stamina, and increase eye hand coordination. It can enhance your eyesight, make you more graceful and coordinated.  Hypnosis can increase your self-confidence, help you overcome your fears, increase your motivation and pleasure for the game, eliminate self-sabotage, remove negative thoughts, and prevent you from having any future negative thoughts. 

By using hypnosis and mental rehearsing you can create positive expectations of being a winner and even psych out your opponents.

     Many people ask me “Can everyone be hypnotized?” , my answer is YES everyone with normal intelligence can be hypnotized, in fact the more intelligent you are the more easily and quickly you will go into the hypnotic state.

Let me explain a little about what hypnosis is and most importantly what it is NOT.
First hypnosis is 100% natural, everyday everyone experiences the hypnotic state, we all go in and out of this state many times during our days and nights – we are just not aware of what it is.  The most noticeable times when we go into hypnosis is just before we fall asleep at night, and just before we wake up in the morning.  When you are so absorbed in a TV show, a movie, a video game, a sports game, reading a good book, or listening to music, you tend to tune everything else out – you are in a natural hypnotic state.  You are still aware of your surroundings but you just don’t bother to pay attention to anything other than what you are currently focused on.
Hypnosis accesses the part of the mind where the habits reside, and can change those habits at their source.  It is non-invasive, there are no side-effects, it is the original mind/body connection, a pleasant relaxing experience that makes changes permanent. 

No one can be hypnotized against their will, so you must want to be hypnotized in order to be hypnotized.

No one can make you do anything against your morals.  If you would not do an act that is against your morals while fully awake and conscious, you will not do that act under hypnosis.

You are fully aware and awake during hypnosis, you are just so relaxed that many trivial things do not bother you. If there was an emergency while you were under hypnosis – you would get up and take care of it automatically.
 Hypnosis is not unconsciousness, not sleep, it is a heightened state of mind where the subconscious part of your mind becomes more receptive to beneficial suggestions.
